1. The reducer heats up and leaks oil. In order to improve the power of the worm gear reducer, non-ferrous metals are usually used as the worm gear, and the worm is made of harder steel. Because it is a sliding friction transmission, a higher heat will be generated during the working process, which makes the parts and seals of the reducer There is a difference in thermal expansion between them, which creates gaps on each cooperative surface, and the oil becomes thinner due to the increase in temperature, which simply causes leakage. There are four main reasons. One is whether the allocation of raw materials is reasonable, the second is the surface quality of the meshing friction surface, the third is the selection of smooth oil, whether the increase is correct, and the fourth is the quality of the device and the operating environment.
2. Worm gear wear. The worm wheel is usually made of tin bronze, which is ground to a roughness of Ra0.8 fcm by a worm grinder. When the reducer is working normally, the worm is like a hardened "file", constantly filing the worm wheel, causing the worm wheel to wear. Generally speaking, this kind of wear is very slow, like some reducers in a certain factory can be used for more than 10 years. If the wear rate is faster, it is necessary to consider whether the selection of the reducer is correct, whether it is overloaded, the raw material of the worm gear, the quality of the device, or the operating environment.
3. The small drive helical gear is worn. It usually occurs on the reducer of a vertical device, mainly related to the increase in the amount of lubricating oil and the selection of lubricating oil. In the case of a vertical installation, it is very simple to cause a lack of smooth oil. When the reducer stops working, the transmission gear oil between the motor and the reducer is lost, and the gears cannot be smoothly maintained as they should, and they cannot be used during starting or working. The smoothness causes mechanical wear and even damage. Solution: Use the gear box cleaning and maintenance machine to clean the inside of the reducer in time.
4. Worm bearing is damaged. When a hard-tooth surface reducer has a problem, even if the reduction box seal is excellent, it is often found that the gear oil in the reducer has been emulsified, and the bearings have been rusted, corroded, and damaged. This is because the reducer is in the process of operation and shutdown. Gear oil is formed by the condensation of moisture that occurs when heat becomes cold; of course, it is also closely related to the quality of the bearing and the technical methods of the device.
